Stove-Top Carmelized Cauliflower with Chive Onions



There is nothing like the smell of cauliflower caramelizing. The amazing aroma and smokiness flavor just cannot be beat. Before serving I added the fresh onion chives and parmesan cheese for even more flavor. Incredible!



This recipe has probably been one of my most googled recipes of all time. Caulflower is such a versatile veggie. It can be made into pizza crust, calzone, noodles, mashed like potatoes, fritters, rice and stir frys. Carmelized is always the best.........Enjoy



Ingredients:

2 tablespoons olive oil
1 large head of cauliflower
2 cloves of garlic (minced)
2 tablespoons of fresh onion garlic (minced)
Zest of 1 lemon
Kosher of sea salt to taste

Preparation:

Prepare cauliflower by rinsing and then cutting into tiny florets, all about the same size, so they cook in about the same amount of time. Heat olive oil in large non-stick frying pan, when hot add cauliflower, stir until florets are coated. Let brown before turning about 4 to 5 minutes. Toss, brown again, 4 to 5 minutes. Last minute add in garlic and lemon zest. Remove from heat then add onion chives, salt and Parmesan cheese to taste. Enjoy!
